BUNAC is recommending working gap years in Australia, New Zealand and Canada, which all seem to be weathering the economic storm better than the USA and Europe and offering good job prospects for 2011-12.

The huge increase in university tuition fees in 2012 will undoubtedly lead to difficult decisions for school leavers who are considering further education or those who missed out on a university place this year.

BUNAC’s Work Canada programme allows 18 to 30s to work and travel in Canada for up to 12 months and is an ideal opportunity for keen skiers and boarders looking to spend a whole winter in one of the world’s top mountain resorts.

Not-for-profit organisation, BUNAC, is offering individuals who would like to take part in one of its North American work exchange programmes in 2011 the chance to win up to £1000 towards their costs, courtesy of the Green Cheese Scholarships.
