California Assn of Legal Document Assistants

Marty Omoto, Executive Director of the California Disability Community Action Network, will be the keynote speaker at the 25th annual conference of the California Association of Legal Document Assistants on October 19-21, 2012 in Sacramento.

The California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA) is supporting the passage of two bills currently pending in the State Assembly that would simplify probate, or death transfer procedures, as well as make them less costly for homeowners.

Consumers should hire only registered and bonded Legal Document Assistants (LDA) rather than unregistered paralegals to help with filing accurate legal documents in order to avoid additional delays and clogging the already congested courthouses
