After 15 years the founding directors of The Chartridge Conference Company Ltd (CCC), Barry Wilson and Peter Darnell, will be leaving CCC for pastures new and handing over the management of the four conference centres to Hamilton Hotel Partners.

Chartridge Conference Company has announced the appointment of Ashwin Roda as general manager of Lydiard House Conference Centre in Swindon.

A charity dining evening organised by Hitchin-based businessman and entrepreneur Dr Bipin Patel was attended by over 170 people and raised over £7500 which will be donated to Barnardo’s and the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.

Hitchin was treated to a star-studded charity cabaret lunch which raised £9000 thanks to Neil Rutherford who began his theatrical career at the Hertfordshire town’s local Queen Mother Theatre.
