Come to the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia to see Hogsmeade Village come alive the weekend of October 15th with all things Harry Potter, including the 2nd Annual Brotherly Love Quidditch Tournament at Chestnut Hill College.

Susan Corbett, wife of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and chairperson of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, will deliver the 84th commencement address at Chestnut Hill College on Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. on the College campus.

Teya Sepinuck, founder and artistic director of Theatre of Witness will give a video presentation, “Theatre of Witness: Humanizing the Other Through Story and Testimony” on Tuesday, March 22, from 7-9 p.m. in the East Parlor, St. Joseph Hall.

Sister Helen Prejean, best-selling author of “Dead Man Walking” and anti-death penalty advocate, will present the lecture, “Dead Man Walking: The Journey Continues” at Chestnut Hill College on Wednesday, April 6, at 7 p.m. in Sorgenti Arena.

The History and Political Science Department at Chestnut Hill College will host an interdisciplinary conference on “The Legacy of the Civil War,” November 10–12, 2011. Keynote speakers will be MICHAEL BURLINGAME and ELIZABETH R. VARON

Kristina Wilhelm-Nelson, M.S., associate director of financial aid at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, provides tips and other information to help students who may be looking at leaving school due to job loss or a salary decrease.

Chestnut Hill College’s Quidditch team will host the The Philadelphia Brotherly Love Cup on October 16, 2010 at the College. They will also compete in the Intercollegiate World Cup November 13-14 at Dewitt Clinton Park in New York City.

Chestnut Hill College has been awarded $250,000 from the Pennsylvania Conservation Works! grant program sponsored by the Department of Environmental Protection to install a new integrated energy-efficient management system on campus.
