Waukesha Choral Union

The Waukesha Choral Union will hold open auditions for the second semester of the 2010-2011 season on January 25th, 2011, at 7p.m. They will be held at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Road, Waukesha, WI, 53189.

Waukesha Choral Union, Ernest Brusubardis, III director, presents “An Olde English Christmas.” Benjamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols,” traditional English carols, holiday favorites, and audience sing-along. December 10 and 12, 2010.

Waukesha Choral Union 2010-11 season auditions to be held Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 7pm at Waukesha South High School. Auditions will include vocal exercises, sight-reading, and part-singing. A solo is encouraged but not required. Accompanist provided.

Waukesha Choral Union presents four concerts in its 2010-11 season. 10/16/10 Rejoice in the Lamb: a Choral Tapestry with the choirs of Carroll University. 12/10/10 Olde English Christmas. 3/27/11 Handel’s Messiah. 4/30/11 All Beethoven Concert.

The Waukesha Choral Union in collaboration with Bel Canto Chorus of Milwaukee, Milwaukee Choristers, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, will present Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Oconomowoc Arts Center.

Waukesha Choral Union presents Franz Joseph Haydn’s Creation as a free gift to the community March 28, 2010 at 3:00pm in Shattuck Auditorium on the Carroll University campus. The choir is made up of Choral Union members and community singers.

Waukesha Choral Union will hold open auditions for the second semester of the 2009-2010 season Tuesday, January 26, 2010 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Waukesha South High School, 401 E. Roberta Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186-6637, in Choral Room 113.

Waukesha Choral Union presents “Magnificat, Magnificat,” featuring three unique musical treatments of the biblical text of Mary discovering she is carrying Jesus. Friday, December 11, 2009 in Waukesha, and Sunday, December 13, 2009 in Oconomowoc.

Waukesha Choral Union opens its 2009-10 season October 25, 2009 presenting “Ah, Youth” at 3:00 p.m. in Shattuck Auditorium, Carroll University, Waukesha. WCU shares the stage with Muskego and Waukesha South High School choirs, 160 singers in all.

Waukesha Choral Union is pleased to announce its 2009-2010 concert season, “Putting Together a Community of Singers.” Major works include Brahms' "Liebeslieder," Vivaldi’s “Magnificat,” Haydn’s “Creation,” and Verdi’s “Requiem.”
