COLOMBO DOCKYARD PLC

Colombo Dockyard re-launched its corporate website www.cdl.lk to coincide with the Shipyard’s 37th anniversary.

Colombo Dockyard, the premier Shipbuilding and Ship repairing facility in Sri Lanka, commissioned a 250 Ton Bollard Pull Test Facility in Clappenburg Point, China Bay Trincomalee, in the eastern coast of the country.

Capt. J.C. Anand, Chairman of Indian Register of Shipping made a courtesy call to Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) on 11th July 2011.

The high profile delegation from Class NK headed by Mr. Noboru Ueda, Chairman and President of Class NK (Nippon Kaili Kyokai) visited Colombo Dockyard PLC on 14th July 2011 on a courtesy call.

The passenger vessel Amet Majesty (16,546 GRT) was successfully accommodated for afloat repairs at short notice during end May. This passenger vessel owned by Amet Shipping India (Pvt) Ltd. was managed ABS Marine Service Pvt Ltd.

The keel for the construction of the 2nd Multipurpose Platform Supply Vessels (in a series of 3 vessels) for Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte Limited of Singapore, was held at Colombo Dockyard, at the auspicious time of 1136am on the 7th June

The combined chemical and oil tanker Sanmar Majesty (10,314 DWT) capable of carrying Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4) was successfully accommodated for major lay-up and drydocking repairs earlier this year.(January 2011).

Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) laid the keel for the construction of the 1st of a series three Multipurpose Platform Supply Vessels (MPSVs) for Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte Limited of Singapore, at the auspicious time of 1130 am on 7.4. 2011
