EcoFair360 brought more than 2,000 fairgoers to the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on July 16-18. The Fair showcased more than 100 green exhibitors and featured more than 100 different presentation on a variety of green topics.

The Rosemont School District will soon receive a 1kW solar panel at no cost. It will be financed by Community Green Energy (CGE), an organization founded to find new ways to finance green energy, as part of CGE’s ‘Solar For Schools’ program.

Travel Green Wisconsin has recognized EcoFair360 as a recipient of the Travel Green Certification. EcoFair360 is a three-day celebration of all things green at the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on July 16-18, 2010.

Doreen’s Gourmet Pizza, who provide top-quality frozen pizzas to groceries throughout Illinois and Indiana, will “green up” 100% of its electric use for 2010 by purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from Community Green Energy (CGE).

Community Green Energy announced that the winner of the Solar Roof Sweepstakes is David Siegfried of Vienna, Ohio. Mr. Siegfried will receive a 1 kilowatt solar panel, converter box, mounting hardware and all needed wiring to connect it to his home.

The Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn, WI will host a three-day festival bringing together hundreds of exhibitors and presenters, and thousands of attendees looking to learn more about all things green, Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18.

The EcoVision Sustainable Learning Center has received a $39,549 Joint Effort Marketing grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism to promote EcoFair360, a three-day green exposition at the Walworth County Fairgrounds on July 16-18.

The Walworth County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the zoning and conditional use permit for the Green Leaf Inn. Fritz Kreiss and Catherine McQueen can now begin to make the midwest’s first purpose built net-zero BYB a reality.

Community Green Energy has launched The “Solar Roof” sweepstakes running through December 31, 2009, and open to all adult U.S. residents. One winner will receive a complete 1 kilowatt roof mounted solar photovoltaic package.

When complete, the Green Leaf will be the first bed and breakfast inn in the Midwest built “green” from the ground up. And when it opens in Summer 2010, it will make Walworth County in Wisconsin a major point of interest for green tourism.
