The Friends of the Redwood Libraries, the Humboldt County Office of Education, and the Humboldt County Library have invited San Diego author Kevin Gerard to participate in the 2011 Humboldt County Author Festival.

Kevin Gerard, author of the popular Conor and the Crossworlds fantasy adventure series for kids and teens, is planning a lengthy trip in the winter of 2010. The bizarre "donut eating journey" will take place in either December or January of 2010.

Barnes & Noble, the nation's largest book retailer, has entered into an agreement with Crying Cougar Press and will stock the Conor and the Crossworlds books in San Diego County stores beginning in June of 2010.

Makenna and Natalie from Flamson and Lewis Middle Schools in Paso Robles, California, won the Conor and the Crossworlds coloring contests during Kevin Gerard's 101 Signing Tour! Two other students from Paso Robles and Fortuna won Dragon Statues!

An Oceanside, California, middle school student has won the Crying Cougar Press writing contest. The young woman impressed the judges tremendously with her intriguing fantasy story.
