The following letter was sent to all Colorado State Senates, by The American Legion, Department of Colorado, on March 7, 2013 in response to the Gun Control Legislation, which the Colorado State Senate will be voting on, on March 8, 2013.

What is the message that the DoD is telling our military troops?

A Free Veterans Appreciation Benefit Fair, open to all veterans and their families, will be held on Wednesday, November 7th from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at the Centennial American Legion Post 209, located at 3613 Jeannine Drive, in Colorado Springs.

Is the number of people out of work going down, or not? The Iraq/Afghanistan era veterans unemployed isn’t going down “according to a Military Times report “the rate for those veterans rose to 13.3% in December from 11.1% the month before.”

The level of unemployment among veterans at this time is 10.4%. A real problem, that The American Legion of Colorado is addressing once again this year, during their Mid-Year Conference, when they hold their Second Veterans Job Fair.

Former American Legion national commander, Thomas L. Bock announces the formation and launch of a non-profit organization to raise awareness and funding for the assistance of Amrica's needy veterans.
