Family Service’s Holiday Giving Drive is underway and will run until Friday, December 17. The organization is collecting new, unwrapped holiday gifts for children, teens and adults in desperate need of support in over 60 Family Service programs.

Family Service broke ground today on a supportive housing residence for 3 women with disabilities. The new home will take the place of an old barn which was torn down in July of 2008. Construction on the new home, will be completed by spring of 2011.

Family Service invites the community to “Fill-A-Backpack” for a child or teen in need of support. A new backpack and school supplies will give a child hope and the confidence needed to start the school year off on the right foot.

A 5 week etiquette workshop focusing on proper dress, fine dining skills, grooming techniques, plus time and money management. The segment for females is entitled, Me First while the segment for men is called A Gentlemen.

Haddonfield residents gathered for an evening of fun and fine dining at the first Progressive Dinner. The evening started with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, guests then proceeded to a home in town for a gourmet dinner prepared by an area chef.

On March 15, 2010 Family Service started racing to collect 10,000 diapers in their first ever Diaper Derby. The donation drive will run until April 15 and focuses on Family Service’s most vulnerable and in-need consumers – babies!
