The hiking and rock climbing event benefits the HERA Foundation and raises awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer that are critical in obtaining an early diagnosis of the disease.

The HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation’s Climb4Life event series is returning in 2010 not only to raise funds for ovarian cancer research, but also to raise awareness around the signs and symptoms of this deadly disease.

The 5th Annual HERA Climb4Life Metro DC, an ovarian cancer fundraiser benefiting the HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation, is planned for March 13 – 21 at several sites in the Washington DC area. Registration is now open at www.herafoundation.org.

The 8th annual HERA Climb4Life Utah, held Sept. 17-20 in Salt Lake City, raised over $80,000 to support the HERA (Health, Empowerment, Research, Awareness) Women’s Cancer Foundation’s ovarian cancer research and awareness initiatives.

HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation has elected Dr. Kian Behbakht, renowned ovarian cancer doctor and researcher, to its board of directors. Behbakht is a widely published and a highly sought-after lecturer on ovarian cancer and ovarian cancer research.
