Hospice at Home

Classes consist of three 2-hour sessions held once a week. Two experienced class leaders conduct the series. Interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming will help you take the “tools” you choose and put them into action for your life.

Lory’s Place will be hosting an International Survivors of Suicide Day event Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 1:00 pm at Lory’s Place, 445 Upton Drive, St. Joseph MI.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational series designed to provide you with the tools you need to be the most effective caregiver you can. This program helps family caregivers reduce stress, balance their lives and locate helpful resources.

Grief support groups create a safe and confidential atmosphere for all participants with educational and support materials provided to help guide participants.

The 2011 recipient of the Richard Beckrow Memorial Scholarship is Deon Atkins, a 2011 honor graduate of Benton Harbor High School. Atkins is a past participant of Lory’s Place, attending after the sudden death of his father in 2006 of a blood clot.

The community is invited to participate in this event by donating new goods or services for the auction, becoming an event sponsor or making a cash donation. Two hundred $100 raffle tickets are also on sale.
