A week of international collaboration at Worcester International Festival for Young Singers came to a close on Saturday with a concert of musical diversity bringing together 400 young singers.

After a week of street singing, workshops, concerts and cultural exchanges, the Gala Concert for Worcester International Festival for Young Singers hosted by Sing UK takes place tonight at the Cathedral.

Last night the visiting international choirs taking part in this week's Worcester International Festival for Young Singers (WIFYS) were treated to a concert in College Hall given by the six English voices of The Songmen.

The concerts by the visiting choirs at the Worcester International Festival for Young Singers are well under way, delighting local audiences with high-quality performances of music both familiar and new.

Whilst the world waits for a Royal baby to arrive, 400 young people from 11 choirs from 10 nations are working together at the UK’s first non-competitive international festival for young singers.

The latest choral work from Bob Chilcott, Five Days That Changed The World, will be premièred at Worcester International Festival for Young Singers on Friday 26th July by the 400 children that have been taking part in the festival during the week.

This week, in Worcester, Sing UK, the national singing organisation, will present the first-ever non-competitive international festival for children's and youth choirs in the UK - the Worcester International Festival for Young Singers 2013 (WIFYS).
