Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI)

Laboratory Testing Inc. has expanded its A2LA accreditation to include an array of mechanical testing, metallurgical testing and chemical testing services.

Materials testing and metrology provider, Laboratory Testing Inc., will be attending the Power-Gen and Nuclear Power International exhibition and conference in mid-December 2011.

Laboratory Testing Inc. received an Honorable Mention from the Philadelphia 100 annual program recognizing the fastest growing, privately-held companies in the Greater Philadelphia Region.

Laboratory Testing Inc. president received the ASM Philadelphia Chapter 2011 Eisenman Award in recognition of dedicated service to ASM, foresight, leadership and promotion of the metals industry and metallurgical education.

Growth in immersion and contact ultrasonic testing at Laboratory Testing Inc. has led to promotions in the NDT Ultrasonic Testing Department. Two UT Supervisors and an ultrasonic testing specialist for training and quoting were announced.

Alan Fabiszewski has joined the Metallography Department at Laboratory Testing Inc. as a Metallurgist. He will perform metallurgical testing to reveal material characteristics, identify defects and carry out failure analysis & weld qualification.

The materials testing and ISO/IEC 17025 Nadcap accreditations have been renewed at Laboratory Testing Inc. by the Performance Review Institute (PRI). The new Nadcap accreditation certificates are valid at LTI through April 30, 2013.

Electrical calibration, temperature calibration and uniformity surveys are A2LA accredited when performed by LTI Metrology. All calibration services are NIST-traceable and uniformity surveys are performed according to AMS2750D requirements.

Laboratory Testing Inc. sponsored the ASM Materials Camp 2011 held at Drexel University for students interested in careers in materials testing and engineering. The students participated in instructional and practical sessions about materials.

A new Struers state-of-the-art hardness testing system has expanded Vickers and Knoop test load ranges and the capacity for mounted samples in the Metallography Lab at Laboratory Testing Inc.
