Ashley Harkleroad won two doubles events and Martina Hingis won singles and doubles, leading the host New York Sportimes to a 23-16 World TeamTennis victory over the Philadelphia Freedoms Wednesday at Sportime Randall's Island.

Jesse Witten and Martina Hingis each won a singles and doubles match as the NY Sportimes defeated the Philadelphia Freedoms, 22-16, in World TeamTennis action at Sportime Stadium on Randall's Island Friday night.

Martina Hingis won her singles, doubles and mixed doubles events, pacing the NY Sportimes to a 22-14 World TeamTennis victory over the Springfield Lasers in their season opener.

John McEnroe will compete for the NY Sportimes in their World TeamTennis mamtch against the Boston Lobsters on July 24 at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y.

The John McEnroe Tennis Academy will evaluate players ages 8-14 for the chance for scholarships on July 21 at Sportime Randall's Island. The third year of the Academy begins in September.

Tryouts for Ball Kids, National Anthem and event entertainment are upcoming for the NY Sportimes World TeamTennis matches at Randall's Island, N.Y., in July.

Tennis legends Andre Agassi, John McEnroe and Martina Hingis will play in a World TeamTennis match on July 19, with proceeds benefiting the Johnny Mac Tennis Project, for uoung N.Y. area tennis stars.

The NY Sportimes selected veterans Robert Kendrick, Jesse Witten and Ashley Harkleroad in today's WTT Player Draft. Chuck Adams also returns as coach. The three draftees join Martina Hingis and John McEnroe on the 2012 squad.

The World TeamTennis N.Y. Sportimes have announced their July 2012 match and marquee player schedule, with seven home dates, including five at Randall's Island and two in Albany. Former World No. 1 stars John McEnroe and Martina Hingis will compete.

The New York Sportimes of World TeamTennis have retained captain/Hall of Famer John McEnroe and former world No. 1 Martina Hingis in the 2012 World TeamTennis Pro League Marquee Player Draft.
