The 2011-2012 Music of the Carolinas series, presented in partnership by PineCone and the NC Museum of History, concludes on June 10 with a free bluegrass concert by North Carolina's own GrassStreet. The series is scheduled to resume in October 2012.

NC's own acoustic Americana band The Gravy Boys draw deep from the well of our country’s diverse musical heritage. They'll perform on Sunday, June 3 at 5 p.m. at E Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest. This concert is free and open to the public.

North Carolina’s own Grammy winning Carolina Chocolate Drops kick off PineCone’s 2012 Down Home Concerts at Raleigh's Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, May 17 at 10 a.m.

Four members of the original Duhks will perform in Raleigh's Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts at Fletcher Theater on Friday, Feb. 10 with NC's own Kellin Watson. The Busy Bee Cafe will host an acoustic music jam after the show!

Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka, and Lucy Kaplansky recorded a collaborative project in 2010 called "Red Horse." Now this power-house trio is taking the show on the road for a limited number of performances, and they will stop in Raleigh on January 21!
