The Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) strongly supports the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s revisions to the 15-year-old school meal nutrition standards, making them consistent with the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

The change aligns the name of the organization with the society’s scholarly publication, the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior, and will spotlight SNEB’s commitment to linking its rich research base with on-the-ground practitioners.

Casting nearly 500 ballots with 90 percent supporting the resolution, Society for Nutrition Education (SNE) members voted in favor of changing the name of the organization to the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior.
