Three women, all cancer survivors, have been selected as Ambassadors for the 16th Annual Support-A-Walk for breast & ovarian cancer, to be held on Oct. 3, 2010 at FDR Park in Yorktown Heights, NY. More than 9,000 people attended this event last year.

Support Connection, a non-profit organization offering free support services for people affected by breast & ovarian cancer, launches a new monthly support group for women living with breast cancer later in life.

For women with ovarian cancer: A toll-free teleconference presentation & discussion with Dr. Thomas J. Herzog of Columbia University Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at The New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Free.

Support Connection, Inc., which provides free breast & ovarian cancer support services, has moved to 40 Triangle Center, Suite 100, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598. The new location offers enhanced space & services for program participants & volunteers.

Support Connection, which provides free support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, honors those who represent and enhance their mission, by presenting the 2010 Spirit Awards.

The Yorktown Leo Club, a youth service group, learned how their volunteer work for a cancer support organization makes a difference. A Support Connection Peer Counselor & her daughter talked about the impact of cancer on families like theirs.

Free monthly telephone support group for women with breast cancer. For women recently diagnosed, including those about to begin treatment and those currently in treatment. Service is toll-free, available regardless of where you live.
