With the feeling of spring in the air, TyreSafe is urging tyre retailers, bike dealerships and other road safety professionals to get ready for the return of its ‘PACT’ campaign, designed to help bikers stay safe on the road in the months ahead.

The current ‘pothole epidemic’ blighting the UK’s roads is not only causing added financial burden for drivers and councils, but it is also in danger of leading to a rise in the number of tyre related road casualties.

TyreSafe is starting 2013 as it means to go on, with the addition of a new member.

In a bid to improve the standards of part worn tyres being sold in the UK, TyreSafe will be hosting its first ever webinar on Monday 25th February.

TyreSafe is advising motorists to make tyre safety a higher priority than ever with weather data suggesting that the frequency of extreme rainfall in the UK may be increasing.

As the UK prepares for the festive period, traditionally one of the busiest times of the year on the roads, TyreSafe is reminding drivers about the importance of checking their tyres.

Tyre retailer Merityre Specialists Ltd, which has 22 branches across southern England, has added again to its expanding portfolio, but this time it’s by becoming the latest member of TyreSafe.

As the winter nights draw in, TyreSafe is reminding drivers that it’s not just their clocks that may need changing this weekend. Now is also the ideal time to check if their tyres are legal and safe.

With the nights quickly drawing in, TyreSafe is encouraging motorists to consider fitting winter tyres, which are the safest option when the temperature drops below seven degrees celsius.
