Volk Corporation announced their new Stairglow® photoluminescent emergency exit products: stair nosing and handrails that provide low cost, high value solutions to regulations requiring photoluminescent emergency egress systems in stairwells.

Volk Corporation has been named exclusive distributor for newly patented Adverstep stair nosing, a multipurpose system which generates advertising revenue on arena steps, prevents slips and falls and is a fail safe egress system during a blackout.

The International Code Council has revised the International Building Code to require glow-in-the-dark path markings in stairwells in new and existing high rise buildings. The code will go into effect January 1, 2009.
