The Village Preservation Foundation of Williamsville has elected William Mattar as the organization’s 2010 President.

It was a foggy London night in 1908, and American newspaperman William Boyce was lost and alone. As Boyce wandered, he came across a boy who offered to help. After he guided Boyce to his destination, Boyce offered to tip.

Most people know the Boy Scout motto, “Be Prepared”, but not many know the extensive history behind those famous words. Since February 8, 1910, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has shaped the lives of millions of young people.
