Bosco Tech alumnus Brian Weden earned first place in the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining annual Young Persons' World Lecture Competition, making him the first undergraduate to win the international honor.

For 150 local elementary and middle school students, Bosco Tech’s five-week, intensive Tech Scholar program is providing an introduction to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.

Bosco Tech will host its baccalaureate and commencement exercises for the graduating class of 2012 on Friday, June 8, at 6:30 p.m. on the school campus.

Bosco Tech students won five of six top honors at the 2012 Building Industry Association (BIA) of Southern California’s Architectural Design and Model Building Contest, on May 16 at Alhambra’s Almansor Court.

Bosco Tech will offer academic enrichment and review courses and Advanced Placement prep summer classes, as well as sports camps, to middle- through high-school aged kids. High school courses begin on June 18; middle school courses begin on June 25.

Bosco Tech will host its annual Spring Open House on Sunday, April 22, 2012, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Guest can take campus tours and view lab exhibits and students' unmanned aerial vehicles and programmable robots.

Don Bosco Technical Institute will host a math competition open to all seventh and eighth grade students on Saturday, March 31. During the competition, a workshop will be provided for middle school teachers.

Don Bosco Technical Institute will host the first Yurak Memorial 5K Run/Walk at Irwindale’s Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area on Sat., February 11. In addition, the event will feature a health expo, kids-only race and live entertainment.

Students from (Bosco Tech) have invited students from several other local high schools to join them in a 16-mile walk through the San Gabriel Valley to raise funds for the homeless on Sunday, December 4, beginning at 8:15 a.m.

Bosco Tech will host its Fall Open House on Sunday, Nov. 20, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
