The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP announced today that former Arizona Court of Appeals Judge Daniel A. Barker has joined the firm’s Phoenix office as a partner. He will practice within the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group.

Bryan Cave Associate Bryce Suzuki has been selected as a recipient of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“NAPABA”) “Best Lawyers Under 40” award.

Bryan Cave Partner George Chen has been elected as Vice President for Programs and Operations of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“NAPABA”) for the fiscal year 2011-2012. He will take office on November 1, 2011.

Jay Zweig has been appointed managing partner of Bryan Cave’s Phoenix office, effective October 1, 2011. He succeeds Lawrence Scarborough, who was elected to the firm’s Executive Committee.

Bryan Cave Partner Neil Irwin has been elected as Treasurer of Greater Phoenix Economic Council (“GPEC”) and also elected as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the fiscal year 2011-2012.

Associate Gustavo “Gus” Schneider has been awarded the “New Volunteer Attorney of the Year” award for 2010-2011 by the Volunteer Lawyers Program. Since October 2010, Mr. Schneider has donated more than 130 pro bono hours to various cases.

Bryan Cave Partner Steven A. Hirsch has been re-elected as President of the Wildlife for Tomorrow Foundation Board of Directors for 2011-2012. Mr. Hirsch has served as President of the organization since 2004 and has been a Director since 1999.

Bryan Cave Partner Neil Irwin was inducted April 1 into the Indiana University Maurer School of Law Academy of Law Alumni Fellows. This is the highest honor the school can bestow on its graduates.

Four lawyers in Bryan Cave’s Phoenix office have been named to the 2011 edition of Southwest Super Lawyers.
