Elgin Country Club has added the TrackMan Pro series, which uses radar technology to measure precision swing and ball flight analysis, to its golf instruction offerings for members and guests.

Matt Weber of St. Charles, 17 and senior at Burlington Central, is considered one of the top junior golfers in the nation. He will play for Indiana University under scholarship after his senior year. Matt will sign his letter of intent this fall.

Elgin Country Club will host the US Girls’ Junior Championship Qualifier this Tuesday, June 25th, 2013.  The girls who compete for the US Girls’ Junior Championship range in age from 14-17, and have handicaps under 10.0 index.

Michael Thompson, Elgin resident and senior at Burlington High School, has been awarded the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship, valued at over $100,000. Michael will attend Northern Illinois University this fall, and will major in Political Science.

ELGIN – Jon Duppler, Head Golf Professional of Elgin Country Club, competed in the 89th Illinois PGA Championship this week at Medinah Country Club, placing sixth.

Elgin Country Club, a premier private golf course in the Fox Valley area, is teaming up with AM 560 W.I.N.D., a local Chicago-area radio station for the Third Annual WIND Charity Golf Outing, this year to benefit A Ray of Hope on Earth.

Junior golfers at Elgin Country Club wrapped up another successful golf season, and improved on last year. 10 Junior Golf participants qualified for the IHSA Sectional Tournament at their respective schools, and five qualified for the State Finals.

The Chicago Women’s District Golf Association (“CWDGA”), an organization dedicated to the advancement of women’s golf at its member clubs, held its 2010 Championship Tournament at the Elgin Country Club on July 27, 28 and 29.

Westby, former caddie for the Elgin Country Club in the 1940's, has come back to play the course he grew up on. In 1947 Westby caddied for John Morrell, the Elgin CC Champion, in a match that featured professionals Byron Nelson and Henry Ransom.
