The Romans said “Nomen est omen” and gave their children and relatives often names with a certain meaning (Caligula => small boots of a soldier). My parents did the same with my name.

In the age of 17 I lived with my girlfriend in a single room in a district of Basle near my workplace and not far away of my aunts apartment who lived there with her husband and his son.

When I was a teenager one of the main problems between my parents and me were not having a job - with fifteen or sixteen years. I went to high school and was not highly motivated to search a job. What I found at first was not very encouraging.

After the 2nd World War my grandfather didn’t stop to fight Nazis - in this case even in the Sixties and Seventies he was tireless to find out more about people who committed crimes in a moral sense by practising Anti-Semitism.

After I confronted my parents with the fact that my neck was broken and I didn’t know anything about it until I was 35 years old my mother started an exceptional cocktail of argues.

Soon after my father almost killed me by throwing me possibly intentionally to the ground at the age of two years my parents travelled to New York in 1957. The worked there for one year as graphic designers.

I was between one and a half year and two years old when I was brought to the children hospital of Basle with a hernia - that was what my parents told me when I was a teenager in the sixties after I detected a operational seam near my groin.

In the year 1948 my grandfather (1898-1980) was moving from Holland to Switzerland with his three daughters to work as a professor for Theology at the University of Basle.

“Why don’t you try it as a detective …” - that is one of many sentences I will never forget. Well, it happens that some insinuations come alive. 20 years later I’m ready to report what I have seen, heard and understood. And it’s bad.
