Glatt Consulting’s HealthScore, an assessment of the financial health of US-based credit unions, has been updated to include 1st quarter 2014 credit union performance data. Scores rise on lending strength.

Industry health measurement sees decline due to lower scores for return on assets, efficiency, asset growth and membership growth.

The Glatt Consulting Credit Union Industry HealthScore declines from 2.446 in the first quarter of 2013 to 2.402 in the second quarter suggesting continued industry challenges in key areas of financial performance.

The Glatt Consulting Credit Union Industry HealthScore for Q1 2012 improved to 2.464, a 9.7% increase from Q4 2011 and a 3.19% increase from Q2 2011. Driving the improved score were substantial increases in asset and membership growth scores.

The Glatt Consulting Credit Union Industry HealthScore for Q4 2011 decreased from 2.265 to 2.246, a -0.82% change from Q3 2011. The industry’s highest score, 3.195, came in Q3 2001. The lowest industry HealthScore was Q3 2009’s score of 2.148.
