Uber has dropped its legal challenge to English language tests for private hire drivers' licences.

Update: TFL have extended the time available for applicants to meet their English Language requirements to 30 September 2017. Whilst this is fantastic news for everyone, it does not mean that drivers can now relax.

New rules come into force from 14th October for London Cab Drivers applying or renewing their PCO Licence. All Private Hire Drivers will have to pass and English Test in speaking, listening, reading and writing at CEFR Level B1.
