LOS ANGELES – There are nearly 30,000 foster youth living in Los Angeles County — and this year alone approximately 2,500 young adults will have to leave the support of the foster care system forever.

In honor of May, Foster Care Awareness Month Living Advantage is recognizing leaders who strive to help make a difference in the lives of our foster youth. They invite community members to come out and join festivities.

Join Living Advantage,Inc.'s 2nd Annual “Giveaways for the Holidays”,a holiday party for foster youth and YP.com employees on December 13, 2012 on the USC Campus.The sponsors will provide the venue, food, holiday entertainment and gifts.

Willie T. Clay is the torchbearer for the modern civil rights movement. With his book, The Big Walk, Willie T. Clay, in cooperation with Living Advantage, Inc., offers a solution to economic and societal injustice in America.

This year alone 1,500 young adults will have to leave the support of Los Angeles County's foster care system. To build participation from the community, Living Advantage has an exciting outreach program to reveal itself within the coming year.

Come help support foster youth education and independent living by attending "A Charity Mixer that Matters" this Saturday November 5th from 7pm-11pm, hosted by Living Advantage, Inc.

The collaboration between the USC Neighborhood Outreach program and Living Advantage has helped to improve life for those exiting foster care. The VALE Program will be implemented at the Foshay Learning Center thanks to the partnership.

Verizon Thinkfinity.org’s free, online based educational resource & Living Advantage provides unique collaboration to underserved foster care youth with an educational “home-base” to continue learning despite personal transitions.
