On Sunday, August 28th America’s top pastry chefs competed for the title of National Showpiece Champions. Five teams gathered in Atlanta, Georgia to battle it out using either chocolate or sugar as their medium of choice.

On Sunday, August 28th, Pastry Live hosted the Art of Cake competition in which cake artists gathered to exhibit their cake sculpting skills. Out of six talented competitors, Katharina Craine's highly detailed piece was awarded first place.

On Saturday, August 27th, six Art Institute of Atlanta pastry students competed to win up to $2,500 in scholarship prizes. Each student had one hour to temper their chocolate and assemble their showpieces in front of the judges.

On Sunday, August 28th Chef Lionel Clement of Nuubia Chocolat won Pastry Live's first annual Chocolatier of the Year competition. His uniquely designed chocolates displayed creativity and good execution, earning him the prestigious title.

Pastry Live Weekend, successfully hosted by Pastry Live from August 26th - August 28th, featured seminars held by some of the industry’s best pastry artists and competitions in which competitors from across the country displayed their talents.

Celebrate the art of pastry sculpture at the first ever Pastry Live Weekend. Seminars will be hosted by world class pastry chefs and some of America’s best sugar and chocolate artists will compete in The National Showpiece Championship.
