Important auction of historic artifacts from the career of the world's most famous magician set for late summer in Chicago.

Rare playing cards, gambling memorabilia, and associated items of every description - the largest in recent history - are coming up for auction May 31 - June 1 in Chicago at Potter & Potter Auctions.

The name Cardini looms large in the annals of conjuring. He was, unquestionably, the most imitated - and likely the most influential - magician of the 20th century.

Memorabilia from the Tom-Foolery Magic Bar Theatre, including props, posters, magic tricks, photos and ephemera - as well as a host of rare magic books, Houdini handcuffs, and antique illusions - will go up for auction on May 22nd.

A rare poster advertising Harry Houdini was one of over 100 vintage magic posters discovered in a suburban Chicago home last year. Now all of the posters will go up for auction.
