Treat your valentine to a very special evening at Gospel Meets Symphony. Now in its 21st year, Gospel Meets Symphony returns to The University of Akron’s EJ Thomas hall on Saturday, February 15th at 7:30 pm.

On 10/12, the Akron Symphony Orchestra celebrates 40 years at EJ Thomas with a collaboration that features three stars of UA's School of Music. The concert takes place almost 40 years to the day of its first performance when the hall opened in 1973.

Maestro Christopher Wilkins returns to lead the Akron Symphony Orchestra on Opening Night of its 2013-2014 season on Sunday, Sept. 15th. The Akron Symphony’s own Levi Hammer will take the spotlight as soloist on Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25.

SPIRITS, a new, independent short film made in Akron, will make its public debut at Highland Theater on November 30. Created by Akron couple Blue Green and Joanne Green, SPIRITS is about the “consumption of, loss of and protection of spirits."

The Akron Symphony Orchestra continues its Classics concert series with Gloria! at 8 pm on Saturday, November 10 at EJ Thomas Hall. It will be conducted by Maestro Christopher Wilkins and Akron Symphony Chorus Director, Maria Sensi Sellner.

The Akron Symphony continues the season with Rhapsody in Blue and other popular favorites by American classical music masters Bernstein, Barber & Gershwin. The concert will be led by Maestro Christopher Wilkins & feature a piano solo by Levi Hammer.
