On June 21, 2013, the SGS NDT Training & Examination Center in Shanghai, China once again successfully passed BINDT audit with a zero non-conformance reports issued.

SGS announced an agreement with Pryor Chemical to carry out baseline inspection for vessels and piping for an ammonia unit and high temperature hydrogen attack (HTHA) inspection at the Pryor, Oklahoma multi-product facility in May, 2013.

SGS was awarded a contract to conduct on and off-site inspection and testing on heat exchangers at the Refap refinery in Brazil by UTC.

In April 2013, SGS was assigned a contract to provide independent inspection, testing, commissioning and certification services during construction of a polyethylene (PE) pipeline in Surat, India.

In March 2013, SGS was awarded a three-year contract for inspection and testing during the manufacturing in China of BTG Package for 2 X 660 MW thermal power plant coming up in India.

On April 2, 2013, SGS was awarded a contract to provide non-destructive testing (NDT) services for a 28 storey steel structure building in Taipei.
