Vinhthuy “Moi” Hoang successfully completed his flight test for the FAA issued Commercial Pilot Certificate. Just a few days earlier, he completed all of the requirements for the FAA approved Commercial Pilot Course at Sunrise Aviation.

On Sunday, January 22, students, faculty, and staff at Florida State College in Jacksonville flew from Cecil Airport in Jacksonville to Flagler Airport in Palm Coast, Florida. At least 21 people participated including at least 8 separate aircraft.

Recent reports from the FAA, ICAO, Airbus, Boeing, and university researchers indicate that demand for pilots will continue to increase and remain strong for at least the next two decades. The need for commercial pilots in the USA is 5,000 per yr.

Zachary Getz, a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, has joined Sunrise Aviation as a flight instructor in Jacksonville.

Sunrise Aviation is proud to announce the graduation of the first two students who completed their FAA approved Private Pilot Certification Courses at Florida State College in Jacksonville. Michael Martin and Seth Van Buren were those graduates.

Two graduates of the Sunrise Aviation FAA Approved Instrument Rating Airplane course in Jacksonville, FL passed Practical Tests this week and received their FAA instrument ratings. The FSCJ students were Elliot Corderio and Vinhthuy (Moi) Hoang.

The first student to complete a Sunrise Aviation FAA approved course at Jacksonville and to pass the FAA flight test is Carlos Peralta. On Monday, Dec. 26, Peralta passed his flight test for the addition of an instrument rating.

Margaret (Julie) Fouse became the first female student at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) to solo with their new pilot training partner, Sunrise Aviation. Fouse accomplished her first solo on Dec. 3rd and her second solo flight Dec. 6th.
