The IRS is expected to state exact dates in March that it would start processing some federal tax forms.

Taxpayers using the Education credit tax form 8863 can now file their returns as the IRS has made all necessary updates to its processing system.

While the tax return date for 2013 might have been pushed 8 days forward, all tax refunds will still be processed as they as been done in the past. So, the earlier taxpayers file their returns, the earlier they get their refunds.

After updating and completing the programming and testing of its system, the IRS hopes to start accepting and processing more forms in February and March 2013.

Taxpayers that need to file tax forms covering education credits and depreciation need not wait any longer as the IRS has started to process tax returns covering the two forms.

The IRS is not anticipating any delays when they start to process forms come January 30 and so taxpayers who file their returns now will get their refunds earlier than those who delay.
