~India’s first ever national assembly of children with disabilities to share their fears, hopes, experiences and expectations~

~ And 5000 more will mourn Children’s Day tomorrow. Around 5000 children under the age of 5 will die every day in India alone due to preventable diseases, unless action is taken on a war footing.~

Humanitarian Emergency Affairs experts, World Vision India, is monitoring the situation across the east coast of India for immediate response to Cyclone Nilam. World Vision India's National Rapid Response Team, is on standby for immediate deployment.

Responding immediately to the disaster in Assam, World Vision India is carrying out the first phase of relief work which includes distribution of relief kits, setting up child friendly spaces, installing water purifiers and setting up relief camps.

World Vision India in partnership with other NGOs brought together 60 children in the Andhra Pradesh State Level Assembly of children with disabilities from 6th to 8th June 2012.
