During its August assembly, The Conference of Major Superiors of Men elected the Very Rev. Carl Chudy, SX, US Provincial of the Xaverian Missionaries, to a three year term as an At-large Member to their national Board.

Msgr. Richard Tofani, Mission Director for the Diocese of Trenton, NJ, and pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Hainesport, NJ, has returned from a ten day trip to Mozambique, Africa where he spent time with Xaverian missionaries there.

The US Provincial Superior of the Xaverian Missionaries, Fr. Carl Chudy SX, has been appointed by the Conference of the Major Superiors of Men to be a representative on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ National Advisory Council.

Xaverian Missionaries celebrate their 45 year presence in the Diocese of Paterson New Jersey reflecting on the generous gift of their provincial house by the Kearns family.

On August 23 Fr. Victor Mosele SX died of Lou Gehrig Disease in Milwaukee, WI. In September 2010 he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a progressive, degenerative disease of the nervous system. He was in a nursing home since 2011.
