Single-family home sales in December 2011 were up 11 percent, and 2011 ends with increased sales volume, stable prices and strong demand.

Austin real estate sales in August 2011 were up 33 percent when compared to August 2010. At the same time, the median price remained statistically unchanged from the same month of the previous year.

Austin real estate sales in July 2011 were up 32 percent when compared to the same month of the previous year. At the same time, the median price decreased 11 percent from July 2010.

Austin real estate sales in June 2011 were up nine percent compared to the same month of the previous year. At the same time, the median price for Austin real estate was $205,000, the same as June 2010.

Austin real estate sales in April 2011 were down 16 percent compared to April 2010, the month when federal homebuyer tax credits expired. At the same time, the median price for Austin real estate was $196,400, three percent more than April 2010.
