The University of Queensland have recently ordered a high powered x-ray diffractometer from AXT. The 9kW Rigaku SmartLab features a rotating anode generator and the system has been optimised for thin film analysis and other applications.

AXT has won the tender to provide a TESCAN Integrated Minerals Analyser (TIMA) to Curtin University in Western Australia. The system is based on scanning electron microscopy and allows automated mineralogical analysis. It is their second TESCAN SEM.

AXT have won a bid to supply the Mawson Institute at the University of South Australia with a Rigaku D/Max Rapid II Dual Wavelength Micro X-Ray Diffractometer.This will be the most advanced lab-based micro diffractometer when installed in October.
