Through ART START, Jamai was paired with Vané Russo, a volunteer artist who has been privately mentoring the young artist for the past year. As an apprentice, Jamai meets with Vané in her Brooklyn studio about 5 hours a week.

I feel the connection between myself and the viewer is very important, I want someone looking at my work to stop for a minute, connect with it, feel something, anything.

Musika's meditative and calming abstract canvases adorned with horizontal washes of color, entrance the viewer with a harmony of hue.
