"Songs for a New World" runs October 14 through November 6 at BIG ARTS Herb Strauss Schoolhouse Theater. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday, and start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for child 16 and under.

BIG ARTS Film Society is seeking entries for its Filmmakers Showcase, where the work of local film producers will be screened followed by Q & A. There is no entry fee. Deadline is Wednesday, November 30, 2010. Films will be shown March 16, 2011.
