California Strawberry Festival

The festival is the ultimate experience for strawberry lovers.

Festivalgoers can indulge in such treats as chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry-topped funnel cakes, strawberry pizza, strawberry nachos, deep-fried strawberries, strawberry tacos and strawberry beer, margaritas and smoothies.

In keeping with spirit of the festival, many of the almost 150 artisans and crafters have created original, strawberry-themed items.

The festival is set for May 16 and 17 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.

The festival, which attracts more than 50,000 visitors, features dozens of different kinds of foods and beverages made from fresh strawberries. The deadline to apply is February 9.

The festival is well-known for unique handcrafted works by artists and crafters.

Entries were evaluated by a judging panel looking for creativity and the best use of a strawberry design.

The family-friendly festival drew more than 40,000 visitors from across Southern California in 2024.

About 150 artisans from throughout California showcase their original works.
