Team USA Members were selected based on their academic merit by CEE during the 13th Annual USABO National Finals hosted by Purdue University. Chen, Du, Dun, and Mangalick are this nation's premier biology students.

Students invited to the RSI program receive free tuition, room, and board. Their only expense is transportation to and from MIT. This allows CEE to select RSI students solely on the basis of academic records and their accomplishments.
