Catering by Design

Cary Nurse, Jackie Tyner, is hosting a wine-tasting dinner as a fundraiser to get special ed tutors for young boys in an orphanage in San Salvador. The event is Sunday November 21 at 5 p.m. at Catering by Design in Cary. The goal is to raise $3500.

Raleigh based Church in the Woods depends on the generosity of many, including churches and caterers in its mission to feed and serve the homeless in Moore Square and Wake County. For five years Catering by Design has helped prepare and donate meals.

One of the Triangle's best known caterers, Catering by Design, has been chosen to cater the hospitality suites at Prestonwood Country Club on the 10th Anniversary of the SAS Championship Golf Tournament.

Catering by Design was chosen as sole caterer this summer by the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, NC because of their creativity and flexibility; custom menus were needed for young players from the US and international teams.

At the "12 Days at 12 Oaks" event series in the town of Holly Springs, Catering by Design catered the Annual Town Banquet, dinners, receptions, breakfasts and lunches, music and children's event rentals.

Catering by Design, a prominent Raleigh area caterer, is celebrating ten years of serving the greater Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area. A special wine tasting and dinner with wine expert Bill O'Neil will be held April 23 for the occasion.

Catering by Design was named Small Business of the Year by the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce at their annual banquet on January 29, 2010. Chef Greg Lewis was honored for the many ways he and his staff supported the Chamber's work throughout 2009.

Chef Greg Lewis, Catering by Design owner and a prominent caterer in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area, was in El Salvador on a service mission during the week that the 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti. He highly recommends service work overseas.

The menu for Catering by Design's holiday charity dinner on December 20th includes five wines with a five-star menu. All staff are donating their time and any gratuities to the cause, which is funding a medical mission to El Salvador.
