Cerritos College Technology Division

Cerritos College Cosmetology students will offer free services on Mother’s day, Friday, May 9, 2014 to the mothers at the senior center in the City of Cerritos.

Raquel Lizarraga, Cerritos College Technology Division Administrative Clerk and Vice President of Development for the nonprofit International Surf Lifesaving Association (ISLA), was invited to speak for students at Cerritos College on April 1, 2014.

The Chrysler Foundation donated $4,000 to support the Cerritos College Automotive Program. The donation is in support of the Automotive Program’s MOPAR College Automotive Program (MCAP) and Chrysler Automotive Program (CAP).

On Sunday, March 9th, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., accomplished furniture designer, maker and fine art photographer, Stephen Courtney, guest lectured at Cerritos College.

Carrie Rawitzer from Dermalogica provided an education demonstration to the students of the Cerritos College Esthetician program.

Over 200 students from the Nissan Kyoto Automotive Program are traveling from Japan to the United States to visit the Cerritos College Automotive Program on May 12th and 13th, 2014.

Through a partnership with Airwolf 3D, Cerritos College’s Engineering Design Technology Program received the first Airwolf 3D HDPrinter.

On April 28, 2014, Cerritos College will host the “Haute Couture” Open House for the Cosmetology and Esthetician Programs. The event is from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. on the Cerritos College Campus in the Health Science Building, 2nd Floor, Room 202.

The Advanced Transportation Technology and Energy program (ATTE) and Economic and Workforce Development (EWD), California Workforce Investment Board (WIB), and Workforce Connections collaborated to offer the Smog Certification for Testers course.

The tools and equipment will be part of Cerritos College’s General Motors training. Students will be able to work with the tools and equipment during the hands-on portion of the classes.
