Cerritos College Technology Division

General Motors (GM) donated four vehicles to the Cerritos College Automotive Technology program. The vehicles will be used for educational purposes.

Cerritos College Pathway Programs Department’s mission is to create educational and career pathways for young adults by providing a seamless transition from secondary to post-secondary education and the skilled workforce.

Cerritos College Woodworking Students created sliding doors for the Center for Teaching Excellence building.

Thirty-four middle school and high school students attended a Cerritos College Robotics Camp through the Pathway Program from July 8th through August 8th, 2013. Students learned how to build a robot and how to operate a robot to perform tasks.

SolidWorks is a 3D mechanical Computer Aided Design (CAD) program. It is used by engineers and designers across the world to create, design, and simulate products.

Cerritos College Instructor of Engineering Technology, Dr. Miodrag Micic, Sc.D., Ph.D., M.T.M., C.S.W.P. recently passed the SolidWorks CATE exam and was awarded the title of “Accredited SolidWorks Educator.”

Cerritos College instructor, Dr. Miodrag Micic, completed training for Project Lead The Way (PLTW) “Digital Electronics” and “Computer Integrated Manufacturing” and was awarded instructor certification.

The DealerTrack system was installed in the Automotive Buildings at Cerritos College. Dealertrack is a software program and system that connects and streamlines the service, sales, finance, and parts departments of a dealership.

General Motors is providing access to online training as part of an initiative to provide veterans with opportunity for education and employment. Two students from Cerritos College have signed up for the online training.
