Cherokee Historical Association

Local nonprofit organization, Cherokee Historical Association, has moved to a Co-Director leadership structure. After the departure of the previous Executive Director in 2023, the Board of Directors installed an interim Executive Management Team.

Cherokee Historical Association (CHA) has expanded its full-time administrative staff with the creation of two new roles: Cultural Outreach & Event Specialists.

Cherokee Historical Association is pleased to announce today that its two attractions, Oconaluftee Indian Village living history museum and Unto These, have both been recognized in Tripadvisor's® Travelers' Choice® Awards for 2025.

The beloved outdoor drama, Unto These Hills, is set to captivate audiences once again as it opens its historic 75th Anniversary Season on Saturday, May 31st.
