Agritech Expo platinum sponsor Stanbic Bank says Agriculture is one of its key focus sectors and its business model has been structured to support the full Agriculture Value Chain.

The upcoming Copperbelt Mining Trade Expo and Conference or CBM-TEC in Zambia’s mining hub Kitwe from 28-29 April is offering free-to-attend sessions on the exhibition floor for all visitors.

The World Bank’s global Thirsty Energy initiative aims to make more governments in Africa and elsewhere aware of the interdependencies and foreseeable pressure on water as a resource for energy generation.

“With support of government and our core support partners there is no doubt in my mind that Zambia will become the rising star in the region because with the government on our side, nothing is impossible to achieve,” says ZNFU's Ndambo Ndambo.

“A slow dripping tap can waste 20 litres or more a day”, says Nicolette Pombo-van Zyl, African Utility Week’s programme director. “The aim of having a week dedicated to water issues helps each of us become aware of the challenges."

Zambia’s Vice President Dr Guy Scott and the new Zambian Minister for Agriculture and Livestock, the Honourable Minister Wylbur Simuusa, will both attend the upcoming Agritech Expo.

Some 50 emerging commercial farmers from Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique are being given the opportunity to attend the upcoming Agritech Expo at GART in Chisamba, Zambia from 4-5 April.

Zambia’s Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development, the Hon. Christopher Yaluma, will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Copperbelt Mining Trade Expo and Conference or CBM-TEC that is taking place in Kitwe, Zambia from 28-29 April.

The sixth annual Mobile Money Africa will gather some 400 industry leaders to discuss regional and digital payments in what has becoming an increasingly sophisticated marketplace, when the conference and expo returns to Johannesburg from 21-22 May.
