20th Annual DSA Song Contest will receive entries through Feb. 15. More than $5,000 in prizes goes to the winners of each of the 10 categories.

Gary Nicholson has had more than 400 of his songs covered by the likes of George Strait, Bonnie Raitt and Buddy Guy. His DSA-sponsored workshop is June 24 from 6-9:30 p.m. at the Center for Community Cooperation, 2900 Live Oak, Dallas, TX.

A full line-up of singer songwriters will perform at the DSA's Crossroads Showcase Saturday from 7-11 at the Varsity Club and Grill, 2605 Coit Rd., Plano
