Helen Dao, MHA, will be an expert panelist discussing cultural competence and health literacy issues at the American Heart Association’s Tú Corazon Latino Summit on October 27, 2011.

Helen Dao has been appointed to the advisory board for the New Jersey Asian American Association for Human Services. Dao will advise the agency as it addresses the educational and psychosocial needs of the state’s Asian American population.

Helen Dao, MHA, will present “Integrating Cultural Strategies for Health Educators: Strengthening Communication” for the NJ Society for Public Health Education on 9/28/11. The workshop is open to all health educators.

Helen Dao, MHA, will present “Integrating Cultural Strategies in Community-Based Settings: The Role of Cultural Broker Programs” at the UMDNJ School of Public Health on September 27, 2011. The 2-hour workshop is open to all health educators.
