Guiseppe De Matola Sax Foundation announces a new international saxophone prize honoring Dr. Ronald Erwin McNair (1950–1986) — NASA astronaut, physicist, and the first to play a saxophone in outer space.

Ann Pizzorusso, prize winning author, has won the "National Prize Giuseppe De Lorenzo" award for the Italian edition of her book, Tweeting da Vinci (Twittando da Vinci). The prize was awarded to her in Latronico, Italy, on September 30, 2023.
